Fun Cooking dan Peningkatan Life Skills Anak Usia Dini

Kegiatan Fun Cooking pada PAUD di Indonesia umumnya berfokus pada ranah kognitif atau motorik halus dengan pendekatan deskriptif atau intervensi sederhana berjangka pendek. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas fun cooking dalam meningkatkan life skills anak usia dini melalui desain quasi-eksperimental dengan kelompok kontrol non-ekivalen. Partisipan terdiri atas 30 anak berusia 5–6 tahun (16 perempuan, 14 laki-laki) yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling setelah memperoleh persetujuan etik dan izin tertulis orang tua. Kelompok eksperimen menerima enam sesi kegiatan memasak sederhana berdurasi 30–40 menit yang diarahkan pada penguatan keterampilan personal, sosial, intelektual, dan vokasional dasar. Pengukuran dilakukan melalui tes lisan dan praktik menggunakan rubrik empat tingkat (ICC = 0,87). Hasil menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara kelompok (t(28) = 4,52, p < 0,001), disertai ukuran efek besar (Cohen’s d = 1,65; CI 95% [0,86, 2,41]). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa fun cooking merupakan strategi pembelajaran berbasis aktivitas yang efektif dalam meningkatkan life skills anak usia dini.
