Early Educational Transitions and the Meaning of Academic Success: A Retrospective Qualitative Study

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi makna keberhasilan akademik melalui transisi pendidikan awal dalam pendidikan anak usia dini. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain retrospektif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan mahasiswa pascasarjana yang berperan sebagai narator reflektif dari pengalaman pendidikan mereka ketika masa anak usia dini. Analisis penelitian tidak berfokus pada status akademik peserta saat ini, melainkan pada keberhasilan akademik awal yang dikenang dan dimaknai dalam konteks peninjauan kembali pengalaman di masa lingkungan belajar awal. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan akademik awal dipahami sebagai keberhasilan adaptasi dari rumah ke pendidikan anak usia dini dan dari pendidikan anak usia dini ke sekolah dasar. Praktik pendidikan berbasis keluarga, rutinitas belajar, dorongan dari orang tua, dan dukungan emosional berperan dalam membentuk motivasi belajar awal dan kesiapan anak. Narasi partisipan juga mengindikasikan bahwa pola pengasuhan yang mendukung sejak awal mampu melewati transisi yang baik dan pembelajaran awal yang positif. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan keluarga dan praktik pengasuhan mendukung anak pada transisi pendidikan awal.
