Anak-anak dalam spektrum autisme kesulitan dengan keterampilan berhitung. Anak autisme lebih mudah memahami hal-hal yang bersifat konkret ketika mereka melibatkan seluruh inderanya dalam proses belajar. Riset ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perubahan kemampuan berhitung sebelum dan sesudah intervensi multisensori. Riset ini menggunakan desain pra-eksprimental one-group pretest-posttest. Sampel terdiri dari 10 anak dengan autism spectrum disorder yang mengalami kesulitan berhitung dan bersekolah di Sekolah Kebutuhan Khusus Bina Asih dan Mutiara Al-Islam di Surakarta. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan berhitung. Hasil menunjukkan terdapatnya peningkatan skor rata-rata dari 7 (SD = 0,699) pada pretest menjadi 14 (SD = 2,413) pada posttest. Uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (Z = -2,810; p = 0,005). Secara praktis, peningkatan ini menunjukkan perubahan kategori dari rendah menjadi rata-rata hingga tinggi pada sebagian besar responden. Metode multisensori berpotensi menjadi pendekatan intervensi berhitung dalam pendidikan khusus, meskipun interpretasi hasil perlu mempertimbangkan keterbatasan desain tanpa kelompok kontrol.
