Anak yang mandiri dan disiplin lebih siap beradaptasi dengan lingkungan sekolah, mengikuti aturan, serta mengembangkan keterampilan sosial dan akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran daycare terhadap pembentukan kemandirian dan kedisiplinan anak usia dini. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods dengan penggabungan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Studi dilakukan di Daycare Bintang Kecil dengan sampel 10 anak usia 2–5 tahun. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner sebagai instrumen utama, dilengkapi observasi dan wawancara sebagai metode pendukung. Analisis data menggunakan uji validitas Gregory untuk memastikan relevansi instrumen. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa daycare berperan sangat positif dalam membentuk kemandirian anak dan kedisiplinan anak. Keberhasilan ini didukung oleh program kegiatan yang terstruktur, pola asuh demokratis, serta interaksi konsisten antara pengasuh, anak, dan orang tua. Penelitian ini mengisi kekosongan studi tentang peran daycare sebagai agen pembentuk karakter di masa prasekolah, yang masih jarang dibahas secara integratif dalam konteks Indonesia. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa daycare bukan sekadar tempat penitipan, tetapi juga lingkungan strategis yang mampu menanamkan nilai-nilai penting bagi perkembangan anak. Implikasi praktisnya, hasil ini dapat digunakan untuk merancang program pembinaan karakter di TPA yang lebih sistematis dan berbasis pendekatan holistik.
